Jeff Flournoy, a native Alabamian, is a single adult and a Southern Baptist pastor who has served churches both in Alabama and Oklahoma. He is currently the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Helena, OK.

 

Jeff began writing Brother Barnabas over seven years ago to encourage single adults at Village Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Brother Barnabas has expanded over the years. It can be found at www.singlesmall.com and at www.helenafbc.com and can be sent directly to your email address upon request to jeffmf@sbcglobal.net.  These devotions have also expanded by reaching out to married people though the intent and emphasis has always been and continues to be to the single adult community. 

 

Brother Barnabas is not primarily about relationships, but about challenge and encouragement in one's relationship to Jesus Christ. Much of what is written is simply an echo of what you've already heard others say; hence the name "Echoes of Encouragement."
